Remove

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  2. Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel (Remove and Install).
  3. Remove and discard the nut that attaches the LH front lower lateral link to the knuckle.
  4. Raise the vehicle fully.
  5. Remove the front aero shield. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the bolts that attach the LH front lower lateral link to the subframe.
  7. Remove the bolt and nut that attach the LH strut to the LH front lower lateral link, and then remove the LH front lower lateral link from the vehicle.
1Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
2Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel (Remove and Install).
3Remove and discard the nut that attaches the LH front lower lateral link to the knuckle.
4Raise the vehicle fully.
5Remove the front aero shield. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
6Remove the bolts that attach the LH front lower lateral link to the subframe.
7Remove the bolt and nut that attach the LH strut to the LH front lower lateral link, and then remove the LH front lower lateral link from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Hand-tighten the bolt and nut that attach the LH strut to the LH front lower lateral link.
    Torque 106 Nm
    Torque 106 Nm
    Note: Tightening of the bolt and nut will occur during the four wheel alignment procedure.
  2. With an assistant, hand-tighten the bolts that attach the LH front lower lateral link to the front subframe.
    Note: Use a punch tool to align the fasteners.
  3. Tighten the bolts that attach the LH front lower lateral link to the front subframe.
    Torque 106 Nm
    Torque 106 Nm
  4. Install the front aero shield. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install a new nut to attach the LH front lower lateral link to the knuckle.
    Torque 180 Nm
  6. Install the LH front wheel. See Wheel (Remove and Install).
  7. Perform the four wheel alignment. See Four Wheel Alignment (Check and Adjust).
1Hand-tighten the bolt and nut that attach the LH strut to the LH front lower lateral link.
Torque 106 Nm
Torque 106 Nm
Note: Tightening of the bolt and nut will occur during the four wheel alignment procedure.
2With an assistant, hand-tighten the bolts that attach the LH front lower lateral link to the front subframe.
Note: Use a punch tool to align the fasteners.
3Tighten the bolts that attach the LH front lower lateral link to the front subframe.

4Install the front aero shield. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
5Install a new nut to attach the LH front lower lateral link to the knuckle.
Torque 180 Nm
6Install the LH front wheel. See Wheel (Remove and Install).
7Perform the four wheel alignment. See Four Wheel Alignment (Check and Adjust).
