Siren - Battery Backed (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the front fascia assembly. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Install).
  2. Disconnect the connector from the battery backed siren.
  3. Remove the bolt that attaches the battery backed siren to the front end carrier, and then remove the siren from the vehicle.
    Torque 12 Nm
1Remove the front fascia assembly. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Install).
2Disconnect the connector from the battery backed siren.
3Remove the bolt that attaches the battery backed siren to the front end carrier, and then remove the siren from the vehicle.
Torque 12 Nm

Install

  1. Position the battery backed siren to the front end module.
  2. Install the bolt (x1) that attaches the battery backed siren to the front end module (torque 12 Nm).
  3. Connect the battery backed siren connector.
    Note: Ensure that the connector locking tab is secured.
  4. Reinstall the front fascia assembly. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Install).
1Position the battery backed siren to the front end module.
2Install the bolt (x1) that attaches the battery backed siren to the front end module.
Torque 12 Nm
3Connect the battery backed siren connector.
Note: Ensure that the connector locking tab is secured.
4Reinstall the front fascia assembly. See Fascia - Front (Remove and Install).
