Only technicians who have been trained in High Voltage Awareness are permitted to perform this procedure. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and insulating HV gloves with a minimum rating of class 0 (1000V) must be worn at all times a high voltage cable, busbar, or fitting is handled. Refer to Tech Note TN-15-92-003, "High Voltage Awareness Care Points" for additional safety information.
Remove
| 1 | Disconnect 12V power. See 12V Power (Disconnect and Connect). | ||
![]() | 2 | Remove and discard the 5-lobe bolts (x2) that attach the HV probe cover to the penthouse cover, and then remove the HV probe cover from the penthouse cover.![]() |
Install
| 1 | Use an IPA wipe to clean the HV probe cover gasket surface, and the mating surface of the penthouse cover. | ||
| 2 | Inspect the condition of the HV probe cover gasket, and if there is any cracking, cuts, or damage, install a new gasket into the HV probe cover. | ||
![]() | 3 | Install the HV probe cover onto the penthouse cover, install new 5-lobe bolts to attach the HV probe cover to the penthouse cover, and then mark the bolts with a paint pen after they are torqued.![]() Torque 6 Nm | |
