Touchscreen (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  3. Disconnect 12V power. See 12V Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  4. Insert a pry tool into the top center slot of the service panel, and then release the clips and tabs that attach the service panel to the instrument panel.
  5. Disconnect the cabin temperature sensor connector, and then remove the service panel from the vehicle.
  6. Remove and discard the bolts that attach the touchscreen to the instrument panel, and then slide the touchscreen toward the rear of the vehicle to remove it.
  7. Remove the center display housing to remove the touchscreen. See Housing - Center Display (Remove and Replace).

2Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
3Disconnect 12V power. See 12V Power (Disconnect and Connect).
4Insert a pry tool into the top center slot of the service panel, and then release the clips and tabs that attach the service panel to the instrument panel.
5Disconnect the cabin temperature sensor connector, and then remove the service panel from the vehicle.
6Remove and discard the bolts that attach the touchscreen to the instrument panel, and then slide the touchscreen toward the rear of the vehicle to remove it.
7Remove the center display housing to remove the touchscreen. See Housing - Center Display (Remove and Replace).

Install

  1. Install the center display housing onto the touchscreen. See Housing - Center Display (Remove and Replace).
  2. Connect the temperature sensor to the service panel.
    Note: The connector orientation is facing towards the LH side of the vehicle.
  3. Position the touchscreen on the instrument panel, slide it toward the front of the vehicle, and then install new bolts that attach the touchscreen to the instrument panel.
    Torque 12 Nm
  4. Install the clips and tabs that attach the service panel to the instrument panel.
  5. Connect 12V power. See 12V Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  6. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
  8. Connect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle.
  9. In Toolbox, type "Display" in the search field.
    Note: Make sure "Actions" is selected, if not already.
  10. Click the Play button next to "PING-BASH_DISPLAY", and then select Run.
  11. In Toolbox, type "GATEWAY" in the search field.
  12. Click the Play button next to "PROC_ICE_X_GATEWAY-REBOOT", and then select Run.
    Note: This will reboot the gateway.
1Install the center display housing onto the touchscreen. See Housing - Center Display (Remove and Replace).
2Connect the temperature sensor to the service panel.

3Position the touchscreen on the instrument panel, slide it toward the front of the vehicle, and then install new bolts that attach the touchscreen to the instrument panel.
Torque 12 Nm
4Install the clips and tabs that attach the service panel to the instrument panel.
5Connect 12V power. See 12V Power (Disconnect and Connect).
6Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
7Install the 2nd row lower seat cushion. See Seat Cushion - Lower - 2nd Row (Remove and Replace).
8Connect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle.
9In Toolbox, type "Display" in the search field.
Note: Make sure "Actions" is selected, if not already.
10Click the Play button next to "PING-BASH_DISPLAY", and then select Run.
11In Toolbox, type "GATEWAY" in the search field.
12Click the Play button next to "PROC_ICE_X_GATEWAY-REBOOT", and then select Run.
Note: This will reboot the gateway.
