Remove

  1. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the cabin intake duct. See Duct - Cabin Intake (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the hood latch cover. See Cover - Hood Latch (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the LH and RH wiper arms. See Wiper Arms (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the LH and RH shock tower covers. See Cover - Shock Tower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  7. Release the clips that attach the LH and RH hood hinge covers to the hood hinges, and then remove the LH and RH hood hinge covers.

  8. Remove the cowl screen panel. See Panel - Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace).
  9. If replacing the LH hood hinge, remove the wiper motor. See Wiper Motor (Remove and Replace).
  10. Support the hood in the open position.
  11. Remove the LH and RH hood gas struts. See Gas Strut - Hood - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Mark the position of the RH and LH hood hinges to the hood using masking tape.
  13. With an assistant, remove the hood support from the vehicle.
  14. Remove the hood. See Hood (Remove and Install).
  15. Use tape to mark the mounting location of the hinge on the body.
  16. Remove the bolts that attach the LH hood hinge to the body, and then remove the hinge from the vehicle.
    Torque 24 Nm

7Release the clips that attach the LH and RH hood hinge covers to the hood hinges, and then remove the LH and RH hood hinge covers.
8Remove the cowl screen panel. See Panel - Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace).
9If replacing the LH hood hinge, remove the wiper motor. See Wiper Motor (Remove and Replace).
10Support the hood in the open position.
11Remove the LH and RH hood gas struts. See Gas Strut - Hood - LH (Remove and Replace).
12Mark the position of the RH and LH hood hinges to the hood using masking tape.
13With an assistant, remove the hood support from the vehicle.
14Remove the hood. See Hood (Remove and Install).
15Use tape to mark the mounting location of the hinge on the body.

16Remove the bolts that attach the LH hood hinge to the body, and then remove the hinge from the vehicle.
Torque 24 Nm

Install

Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
