Wiper Motor (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the cabin intake duct. See Duct - Cabin Intake (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the hood latch cover. See Cover - Hood Latch (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the underhood storage carpet. See Carpet - Underhood Storage (Remove and Install).
  5. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the wiper arms. See Wiper Arms (Remove and Replace).
  7. Release the clips that attach the LH and RH shock tower covers to the vehicle, and then remove the covers from the vehicle.

  8. Release the clips that attach the cowl screen to the vehicle, and then remove the cowl screen from the vehicle.
  9. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor.
    Warning: Do not place limbs within the motor linkage area as the wiper arms will automatically transition to Parking Mode.
  10. Remove the bolts that attach the wiper motor to the body, and then remove the wiper motor from the vehicle.

3Remove the hood latch cover. See Cover - Hood Latch (Remove and Replace).
4Remove the underhood storage carpet. See Carpet - Underhood Storage (Remove and Install).
5Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
6Remove the wiper arms. See Wiper Arms (Remove and Replace).

7Release the clips that attach the LH and RH shock tower covers to the vehicle, and then remove the covers from the vehicle.
8Release the clips that attach the cowl screen to the vehicle, and then remove the cowl screen from the vehicle.
9Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor.
Warning: Do not place limbs within the motor linkage area as the wiper arms will automatically transition to Parking Mode.
10Remove the bolts that attach the wiper motor to the body, and then remove the wiper motor from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Install the bolts that attach the wiper motor to the vehicle.
    Torque 7 Nm
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the wiper motor.
    Warning: Do not place limbs within the motor linkage area as the wiper arms will automatically transition to Parking Mode.
  3. Connect the clips that attach the cowl screen to the vehicle.
  4. Connect the clips that attach the LH and RH shock tower covers to the vehicle.

  5. Install the wiper arms. See Wiper Arms (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the underhood storage carpet. See Carpet - Underhood Storage (Remove and Install).
  8. Install the hood latch cover. See Cover - Hood Latch (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the cabin intake duct. See Duct - Cabin Intake (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
1Install the bolts that attach the wiper motor to the vehicle.
Torque 7 Nm
2Connect the electrical connector to the wiper motor.
Warning: Do not place limbs within the motor linkage area as the wiper arms will automatically transition to Parking Mode.
3Connect the clips that attach the cowl screen to the vehicle.

4Connect the clips that attach the LH and RH shock tower covers to the vehicle.
5Install the wiper arms. See Wiper Arms (Remove and Replace).
6Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
